Solar Certification Fund Launches 17th Call for Proposals

Brussels, November 20, 2025 – The Solar Certification Fund (SCF) has announced its 17th call for proposals, reaffirming its commitment to supporting advancements in solar thermal technology. This initiative continues to bolster the sector through funding projects aimed at:

  • Enhancing solar thermal certification and standardization processes
  • Strengthening quality assurance for solar thermal technology
  • Preparing for the certification of next-generation solar thermal products

Priorities of the 17th SCF Call

The call prioritizes the following key areas:

  1. Improving Certification and Standardization Processes: Ongoing refinement and development to ensure robust standards for solar thermal technologies.
  2. Ensuring Quality Assurance: Strengthening measures to guarantee the performance and reliability of solar thermal systems.
  3. Round Robin for Solar Collectors.

Funding and Timeline

The total budget allocated for this call is approximately €95,000. These priorities align with the objectives outlined during the 39th Solar Keymark Network (SKN) meeting held in October 2025. Decisions regarding project selection and funding allocation will be finalized at the 40th SKN meeting in March 2026.
